Calamagrostis 'Karl Foerster' is characterized by its narrow, upright growth, which can reach a height of approximately 150 centimeters. In June, purple-brown flower plumes appear, which slowly transform into a shiny, golden yellow straw color. Even under a layer of frost or snow, this ornamental grass remains standing tall, creating a beautiful winter scene. The plant forms a neat clump and does not spread. Tip: Cut the plant back to about 10 centimeters above the ground in early spring (February or March); because this grass sprouts early, you will soon be able to enjoy a fresh, green column again.
