Isotoma fluviatilis 'Alba', also known as star moss or creeping carnation, is an excellent and popular ground cover that is highly valued for its lush growth and refined flowering. This variety is distinguished by its rapid spread and delicate white flowers, making it the ideal choice for creating a dense mat along garden edges, between paving, or as an ornamental filler in pots.

Characteristics: 'Alba' forms a very low and compact carpet of fresh green leaves that provides a vibrant appearance all year round. It is hardy, robust, and has the great advantage of tolerating light foot traffic well, making it ideal for joints between stepping stones or paths. During the flowering period, the plant is covered with countless small white stars, creating a fresh and bright look in any garden design.

Isotoma fluviatilis 'Alba' is characterized by its very small, egg-shaped leaves that together form an even green cushion only 2 to 5 centimeters high. From late spring to well into summer, beautiful star-shaped white flowers appear that can almost completely cover the plant. The plant has a creeping growth habit, which means it quickly and effectively fills any free space in the soil. Tip: For extra-fast coverage between tiles or stones, press the plants slightly deeper into the joints when planting; the creeping stems will then spread more quickly sideways across the soil.
