Although it differs in structure from the ground-covering Liriope, it is an excellent and popular choice for a dense, evergreen hedge. This variety is distinguished by its rapid growth and strong, upright branches, giving it a robust, luxurious appearance in both formal and informal gardens.

Characteristics: The 'Rotundifolia' forms a dense wall of dark green, oval, glossy leaves that remain green all year round. In spring, the plant produces small, white, fragrant flower clusters. It is very hardy and has the great advantage that, if pruned properly, it remains very neat and compact and thrives in a variety of conditions. With a delivered height of 125 to 150 cm in a large 15L pot, it is an ideal plant for immediately creating a tall, opaque screen over 10 linear meters.

Prunus laurocerasus 'Rotundifolia' is characterized by its dense, bushy, and vigorous growth habit. The plant has full, glossy, dark green leaves that retain their color throughout the year (evergreen). In spring, small, fragrant, pure white flower clusters appear on sturdy stems among the foliage. The flowers attract bees and add color in the early season. This variety is ideal as a dense hedge, solitary plant, or windbreak. Depending on pruning, the mature height can be easily maintained between 150 and 250 cm.

For the densest growth and the most beautiful leaf color, a spot in the sun or partial shade is ideal.
